Our Training Program is designed to support and promote parent participation in the city’s public school system. Through workshops and individualized sessions, the program addresses parent’s concerns about education, provides instruction on city-wide education policies, educational terminology, educational practice, NYC and State standards based instructional methods, team work.  The outcome of these sessions cultivates parent-teacher collaboration, enhances parent leadership skills, and most importantly, fosters a sound environment for our children to learn and develop. Preparing parents for full participation in school leadership teams is the Major thrust of this program whose goals are to: 

1.      Establish greater parent involvement through a collaborative effort with school personnel that will contribute to improving teaching and learning.
2.      Provide a heightened awareness of issues affecting their children’s educational and social needs.​
3.      Provide parents with the necessary resources to become effective communicators, school advocates, and community leaders. 

The program will also provide parents with an opportunity to network with their peers, seek solutions to common concerns and share innovative strategies to enhance parental involvement in the education process. 

The program will offer timely workshops/ trainings or customized sessions in the areas of leadership development, communication  and problem-solving skills, school governance – policies and processes, budgets, and basic strategies on how to recruit and development an active parent’s group.As well as the following:
